Our History

Chatham Rotary Foundation

The Chatham Rotary Club was chartered in March 1939. As part of Rotary International, the Chatham Rotary Club is an autonomous entity, recognized by the IRS as a Section 501(c)(4) organization. In 2018, the Chatham Rotary Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) public charity, operating under the same guiding principles as the Club, to benefit organizations and projects that enhance the betterment of the community of Chatham and the surrounding area. The Board is made up of local community leaders, many of whom are also active in the Chatham Rotary Club and other civic organizations.
